Sri Lankan students excel at Cambridge Outstanding Achiever Awards

University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) and the British Council jointly hosted the Cambridge Outstanding Achiever Awards ceremony on November 21 in Sri Lanka.

Cambridge Outstanding Achiever Awards recognise students who have achieved the highest marks in a single Cambridge O Level or International A/AS Level subject, or a group of subjects, in the November 2008 and June 2009 Cambridge examination session.

CIE also presented Cambridge Inspirational Teacher Awards at the ceremony to teachers who have been nominated by their schools in recognition of their commitment to the development of their students. These awards were presented by Mrs. Nirmali Hettiarachchi, CIE Regional Representative for Sri Lanka.
