The festival season
continues. While the Kandy Esala pageant is in full swing, the big festival in the South has also begun. It's the season when crowds throng to Kataragama for the annual festival. The
climax will be on Wednesday, August 5, when the final grand procession will be
held followed by the
water-cutting ceremony the following day.
