Funday Times - A Poem for the week

Nature and life
By Imara Perera (12 years), Bishop's College

Trees and bushes, shrubs and jungles,
Ponds, waterfalls and lakes,
Roaring of lions and tigers and bears,
Without life how can nature be made?

Morning dew on flowers on early mornings,
Raindrops pelting on window-panes,
When the moon rises, the wolves start howling
And the cock crows early each day.

The golden wheat dancing to the wind,
And the roses purify the air,
And when the sky becomes angry, the trees start to spin,
throwing branches here and there.

This is what nature brings,
The earth is where we were born,
Mother Nature makes the earth a great place to live,
So let's keep singing the nature song.
