Latest arrival joins Pygmy Hippo family

On Friday the Dehiwala zoo took delivery of a two-year-old male pygmy hippopotamus, sent by the Singapore Zoo. The new arrival is expected to add diversity to the Dehiwala zoo’s gene pool of pygmy hippos, which have been breeding successfully so far.
