UAE thanks Lanka

Sheik Abdulla Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the visting Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates, has expressed his country’s appreciation to Sri Lanka for supporting a move to establish the International Renewable Energy Centre in the emirate.

Germany and Norway were the other two countries that were vying to win a bid to set up the centre. The visiting minister called on Foreign Minister Rohitha Bogollagama and Power and Energy Minister John Seneviratne.
