Errol needs your assistance

Errol Seneviratne, who stood with distinction in the white coat for almost 3 decades is now in declining health…a combination of failing eye sight and knees which if not rectified soon, may leave him a cripple. As the long hours he stood as an umpire at a time when the game gave men like him little, or no financial reward, would have contributed to the unfortunate condition of his knees.

The Sunday Times understand from Errol that the total cost of surgery has been estimated at Rs.300,000/-, and he is able to raise half of it.

If you so desire to assist this umpiring stalwart of yesteryear send cheque in favour of E. Seneviratne mailed to 82|18, 14th lane Wickremasinghe Pura, Battaramulla.
