Vivienne Boralessa launches maiden CD

Veteran songstress Vivienne de Silva Boralessa who had been in the music scene for nearly five decades, mostly singing songs of Buddhist themes, will launch her maiden music album titled ‘Sambudu Mangalle’ on May 22 at 5.30 pm at the John de Silva Theatre in Colombo.

Prime Minister Rathnasiri Wickremanayake will participate as the Chief Guest at the event while Visharada Manoj Peiris will conduct the music during the live show which will coincide with the CD launch.

The CD will comprise popular songs of Vivienne de Silva Boralessa including ‘Dura Pena Weli Thala’, ‘Nawathinna Tissa’, ‘Sambudu Mangalle’, ‘Sisilasa’, ‘Sarade, Shantha Sapa’, ‘Nuwan Sendelle’ and others.
