The winners of the Frannie Grand Competition received their awards at a prize
giving held on Saturday March 21, 2009 at Ronan International Centre Auditorium.

The prizes were sponsored by Vijitha Yapa Bookshop. Ronan International Centre permitted us the use of the Auditorium free of charge. Refreshments were served to the winners and their family members after the distribution of awards.

The serial story 'Frannie Learns a Lesson' was offered to us by the World Association of Newspapers to promote International Literacy Day (September 8), while encouraging family reading. Funday Times published the 8-part serial, starting in September 2008.

The Frannie Competition was conducted on the Activity Guide published with each chapter.
We received many colourful and interesting entries.
