The Academy of Hair and Beauty offers its students three professional courses which comprise of the 25 day certificate program, the diploma and the advance diploma in hair dressing and beauty therapy.
The Director, Nayana Karunaratne, notes that many of their courses are accredited by City and Guilds, the UK based educational body recognized by Australian and Canadian authorities solely based on the good reputation that the academy has gained throughout its 10 years of existence.

The purpose built academy has 6 fully equipped classrooms and two auditoriums to conduct sessions and has a maximum of 10 students in each batch. Mrs. Karunaratne further adds that the 25 day certificate program makes the student immediately employable by giving him or her the basic know how about the subject and added that their diploma and advance diploma programs are career oriented and advised students to enroll if they are passionate about hair dressing and beauty therapy.
Students are given a thorough knowledge of the subject through practical and theory exercises while the necessary course material is offered free of charge.

She meanwhile, suggests that parents should recognize their child's potential and encourage them to pursue this line of work. Mrs.Karunarante proudly announced that 7 of her students who followed the advance diploma in hair dressing and beauty therapy in December last year have passed with a distinction, a proud moment in the academy's history.

The Academy of Hair and Beauty employs an experienced panel of lecturers to pass down their expertise to the students, with most of them being senior staff working at the successful salon chain "Salon Nayana." The academy offers classes on weekdays and weekends for the convenience of the students and conducts sessions in Kurunegala and Galle too.
