"Something has happened" a shepherd cries!
As he sees a shining star.
An angel sings coming to Earth,
"The baby is born, Hallelujah!"

"Who is born?" a traveller asks,
As the heavenly chorus sings,
Our saviour, our Lord is born today!
More superior than a king.

The star it leads the three wise men,
To the place where the infant lay…
As they carry gifts that are fit for a king,
The angels sing in praise.

Holy infant in gentle sleep,
Eased the sorrow, unshed tears…
Good will to men and
happiness to keep,
Filled the world with
laughter and cheers…
