Family Party with a difference at Palm Beach Hotel

Annesley Malawana and the Super Chimes will come alive at the grand New Year's Family Party at the Palm Beach Hotel in Mount Lavinia.

Annesley and the Super Chimes will bring back a nostalgic sense to this year's New Year family party with best loved hits of yester year and will give the revellers those favourite old hits of English and Sinhala.

A special children's buffet and play area is organized to keep your kids under 14 years parting along. An unbelievable ticket price of 2200/- per person (nett) will include a gala international buffet and lots of prizes and surprises, competitions and a festive atmosphere of a tropical kind, to keep guests relaxed and entertained the whole night through.

Entrance gifts for ladies (first 50) and entrance gifts for gents (first 15) will be offered. A table of ten will be entitled to a bottle of Scotch whisky and for the premium tickets priced at 2500/- will be entitled bottle black label whisky for a table of ten.

'We hope to draw a crowd of 400 as we already have many confirmed bookings and inquiries. This very positive response so early in the season is due to the family atmosphere we are creating for our guest and no doubt the vast following that our famous singer and entertainer Annesley commands; said Ravin Gunawardena, the General Manager of the hotel.

Palm Beach Hotel also offers a special package for 7500/- for double, dinner, dance, room and breakfast. 'And our night club is opened too for the young adults so parents can enjoy the night knowing their children are in the same building close to them' he added.

Annesley has been in the Sri Lankan music scene for more than forty years and has made a mark in the recording industry. He started his music career with the then popular band 'Moon Stones' and later joined with the Super Golden Chimes. Currently he leads the popular band Super Chimes.

Super Chimes comprises Channa Athalagey on guitar, Gimantha Seneviratne on keyboards, Prasanna Fernando on base and Jagath Kulasinghe on drums. Special children's buffet Rs.1100/-. Registering children under 14 years should be done before the function.
