Old Thomians in a Grand Bust up

.The members of the Thomian Society of Colombo captured the warm thrills of reminiscence and were a part of the great fun recently at the Palm Village Hotel, Uswetakeiyawa.

The occasion was a whole 'Day Out' beginning with a welcome drink and moving on to a sumptuous buffet lunch, afternoon tea and cake with 'live' music, games, a fancy dress parade, many more prizes and surprises for members and their families.

The President of the Thomian Society of Colombo, Dr Vijaya Corea, said that it was not always that old Thomians had the opportunity to meet and greet each other in such a warm and relaxed atmosphere. The same, he added, could be said concerning their wives and children. On this extraordinary occasion, old Thomians and their families had a door opened to get to know other Thomians and the members of their families with, whom they have not been in touch.

Furthermore, the next generation, comprising their children, came to know the offspring of other Thomians who are old boys of S. Thomas' Mount Lavinia, Gurutalawa, Bandarawela and Kollupitiya and began to share in that wonderful and indomitable Thomian spirit.
