S. Thomas’ concede first innings to St. Anthony’s

The Thomians slid from prosperity to adversity and conceded a first innings lead of 66 tuns to the Anthonians in their drawn Inter-School match at Katugastota.

77 for no loss overnight and the Thomians contrived to all ten wickets in the space of 116 runs. This was due to a combination of steady spin bowling by Reyal and Ekanayake and some, at times, negative batting.

The Thomians did well to scalp seven Anthonians for 116 second time around. But that was a little too late.
