Funday Times - A Poem for the week

The noblest deed
By Gaya Samarakoon (14 years), Visakha Vidyalaya

The bards of times gone by,
Sang of noble deeds,
Of the terrible battle cry,
Of battles fought and won.

Of deeds of glory and fame,
Of deeds of bravery and courage,
That made undying, their name,
And made them heroes in history.

Yet, is there a nobler deed?
Is there a more glorious act?
Than helping those in need,
With a generous heart and hand.
