Conmen carry on regardless

By Noel Direckze, Nugegoda

After following the wide media coverage of the recent Sakvithi financial scam in which hundreds have been cheated of millions, one cannot help wondering how these unscrupulous persons could have so shamelessly and openly advertised on TV and in the newspapers, and how come nobody bothered to look into the background of these so-called financial experts.

It is indeed a tragedy to see so many people fall victim to these conmen, and lose their lifetime’s savings. I hope these conmen will be apprehended and given the maximum punishment.
