Funday Times - A Poem for the week

Family matters
By Ravini Abeywickrama (13 years), Stafford International School

Things are so chaotic,
With my family around,
It's the most gossiping,
complaining!
Family ever found!

Listening to Mom's,
24 hour day ranting,
And the 'crashes' and 'bangs'
Of the dishes she's cleaning.

My sister blows her nose,
Every now and then,
While watching 'High School Musical,'
Over and over again.

I'm so used to hearing –
"Ah Machan!" when Dad is around,
'Cause on his mobile phone,
He calls everyone in town.

Even though they complain,
Daily scream and shout,
Being chaotic all together,
Is what a family's all about!
