Funday Times - A Poem for the week

Aliens
By Himashi Pemasiri (11 years), Lyceum International School

Far away from the earth,
Away from the sun, moon and stars,
There might be aliens
roaming about,
In planets like Jupiter and Mars.

If we see them
I wonder what they’ll be like
Maybe they would have three or four heads,
Eight hands and fourteen legs.

Or maybe they would have,
Horns poking out,
nails long and sharp,
Eyes glaring hard,
feet stamping about,
And breath stinky and hot.

I wonder whether there might be lands,
With other life forms,
Who stare up into space and think,
"Are we the only living things?"
