Jayewardenepura Uni. and Ernst & Young in new partnership

The University of Sri Jayewardenepura and Ernst & Young Sri Lanka recently entered into a Memorandum of Understanding to create an Endowed Ernst & Young Professorship in Accounting. Although a pioneering venture in Sri Lanka, endowed professorships are commonly seen in the US and other developed countries.

In addition to sponsoring the Professorship, Ernst & Young will also conduct training programmes on the practical applications of auditing and accounting standards. The two institutions will also collaborate on research work relating to accounting & financial reports.
