Live band; crashing drums, pulsating rhythms, addictive guitars and elevating vocals, white-hot lights, a single body of one-hundred-and-fifty youth jumping and jamming to the music. Welcome to History Maker International – Sri Lanka 2008. History Maker International (HMI) is a youth movement pioneered by Rev. Richard Williams and Rev. Woodrow Blok focussed on giving the future generation of Asia a vision to be a better people.

Mind their tears
Ever hear of the phrase "curiosity brings the dead back to life?" No? Well that's probably because there's no such thing! Stating the obvious you think? Well, you might just be surprised... I guess it would be safe to say that I, like millions of other Sri Lankans around the country probably go for an average of 50 or more funerals in their lifetime?

Heavy metal against all odds
The SAARC Bands Festival was held at Central Park in Delhi and was organised by the Ministry of External Affairs and the Indian government along with the ICCR (Indian Council for Cultural Relations). It showcased some of the leading bands from the eight SAARC member nations. It also just so happened that from all these bands, there was one band from Sri Lanka and they also happened to be the only Metal in the festival. Stigmata took to the stage of the festival with a confirmed crowd of 20,000 people (not all of them metal fans) at their mercy.
