E-WIS completes 22 years

E-WIS, which launched in April 1986 when IT was still an unknown entity, was the pioneer in introducing latest IT related hardware products, software solutions and services to the industry. The company says, in marking its 22nd anniversary, that today E-WIS is the largest IT service provider in Sri Lanka.

Chairman and the CEO of E-WIS group, Sanjeewa Wickramanayake said that for the past 22 years, “We have been serving our country with International IT knowledge and expertise, ensuring high quality of service at the same time. I would like to thank our customers, who are the reason behind this successful journey of excellence, for believing in our products and services and we would always assure quality and efficiency in years to come."

E-WIS says it is the only one-stop solution for virtually any type of Information Technology related requirement. With its subsidiary arm, E-WIS provides solutions covering Hardware/ Software retailing, ICT infrastructure solutions, software solutions, data printing, printing solutions, web development and IT related training.

The E-WIS - IBM partnership began in 1986, as the first IBM Business Partner in Sri Lanka and the second oldest in ASEAN. Currently E-WIS is the only IBM Premier Business Partner in Sri Lanka. Wickramanayake said he believes that the brain drain from Sri Lanka to other countries start at a domestic level. “We should stop the brain drain from rural to urban by providing IT infrastructure facilities and knowledge to rural societies."
