Peace through Soccer

Three matches were played at the “Peace through Soccer Tournament” during the last weekend at the Trincomalee Mc Heyzer Stadium.The matches were conducted by the Social Affairs Unit of the Peace Secretariat (SCOPP) with the assistance of the Eastern Province Ministry of Education and Sports, Football Federation of Sri Lanka along with the Trincomalee Football League.

In the first match the Colombo Combined Schools’ team beat Trincomalee Combined Schools team by 2-1 In the second match, the Jaffna-Wanni Youth Team beat Trincomalee Youth by 2-0.The third match between Sri Lanka (FA Cup team) and Trincomalee Football League ended in a goalless draw.
