Celebrating International Women's Day, Association of Women Artists (AWA) will hold its annual exhibition with different works of art by a group of young artist at Lionel Wendt theatre from March 11 to 13. The exhibition will highlight works of art such as paintings, photography, and sculpture by Manika Vanderpootin, Sajeewani Hewavitharana, Thilakshi Weerakoon, Inoka de Silva, Dilini Wijeyratne, Manaori Jayasinghe and Thusharangika Indunayani.

The items in the exhibition show the immense talents of the young artists in their own selected areas of aesthetic interests. As a guest artist this year the exhibition will be joined by Kayoko Kusumoto, a professor at the SOJO university in Japan.

Ms. Kusumoto is a member of the Organising Committee of Japanese Sculpture Society and has participated as a jury member in a number of exhibitions in addition to holding her own exhibitions throughout Japan. She also has proved her prowess in writing and a number of her works will be shown at the exhibition.
