Dankotuwa launches “OPUS” hotelware

Dankotuwa has launched the Opus Hotelware range in the local market as part of its strategy to break into strongly the Hotelware market.

“While many newer manufacturers have gone into automatic production machinery Dankotuwa has been very selective in this exercise and has ensured that the high quality of certain tradition manufacturing processes is not eroded. For example Dankotuwa’s flatware is made mostly with Roller machines, and although it is more expensive to produce, and huge volumes are difficult, it is still held in high esteem amongst discerning buyers. Dankotuwa therefore has positioned itself as a high quality producer matching both traditional and modern methods of production for optimum results,” according to a company statement.
In the local market Dankotuwa has made inroads in the hotel and restaurant sector and most of the fashionable restaurants use Dankotuwa products.

“There is a significant change in the top restaurants and hotels in Sri Lanka where fashionable tableware is being used to create the required image and ambience. This is unlike in the past where common tableware was used. This is the reason why we decided to launch the new Opus range in the local market as well,” said Sunil Wijesinha Chairman of the company.

Dankotuwa recently shipped its first Opus container to Spain.
