BDFI Dance Festival at Waters Edge

The BDFI International Dance Festival (Ballroom Dancers Federation International - Sri Lanka) will come alive on Monday, January 14 at the Water's Edge in Battaramulla. The underlying theme of this unique dance festival as based on the slogan 'Dancing is a co-ordination of mind, body, soul and the Audience Eyes - Do not separate them'. Sri Lankan audience will be treated to a spectacular segment of Wheel Chair Dancing, when the inaugural Wheel Chair Competition gets under way.

A special Children's segment and the multi disciplines of dancing in Line, Salsa, Hip Hop, Latin and Standard have attracted as many as 100 competitors, both local and from overseas. An event not to be missed by the young and old, as there is dining and dancing for the guests as well, to the music of 'Friends in Harmony'. Also there will exotic performances by the World Showcase Dance Champions.

There are also prizes and surprises for the evening. All ticket holders are entitled to complimentary workshops. The Dance Festival is presented for the second time by the Ballroom Dancers Federation International - Sri Lanka. Mihin Lanka is the official carrier. The Max TV is the official television of the Festival. The proceeds are in aid of the Wheel Chair Dance Projects.
