Mobitel unveils Push Email Solutions

Nokia Siemens Networks has been selected by Sri Lanka Telecom Mobitel to deploy its push e-mail solution for enterprise customers. This service enables Mobitel subscribers to check e-mails and other applications on the go on a wide range of mobile devices, enhancing mobile connectivity for enterprises, the local mobile phone company said.

It said Nokia Siemens Networks will deploy Nokia Intellisync Wireless e-mail solution as an easy-to-use, secure, real time access to e-mail for Mobitel. The solution enables quick and easy access to e-mails while on the move, with e-mails delivered wirelessly in real time. Installation and maintenance of the e-mail solution are designed to be as simple and straightforward as possible, offering a low total cost of ownership.

The newest offering from Mobitel was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Minister for Science and Technology, Hon Professor Tissa Vitharana at Techno 2007, held at the BMICH, recently.
