ABBA, 'The Ultimate Pop Group' - The sheer breath of Abba's appeal astounds the music industry. With their mix of melody sweeping crystal- clear vocals this effervescent Swedish quartet took the world by storm. They look just as fresh, relaxed and buoyant as they sound, and their style, material are totally electric. At their first concert in London's Royal Albert Hall, the box office was flooded with over 50,000 orders for the 11,212 available seats.

At their fist appearance in Australia as one journalist described, 'Crowds lined up in steady rain for two days at Sydney's Show Grounds'.

In concert, with all flashing lights, booming sound, whipping hair, and guitar… for a few tumultuous moments, it seems the solar wind off the stage is going to blow the audience out of their seats. Then suddenly a guitarist thrums a couple of soft cords, and a blonde in tight-fitting white overall steps to the microphone and uncoils a melodic line that sounds like a benediction. The hushed audience watches with a single eye, breaths with a single breath. Then hit by hit, they join in, turning the hall into a great echo chamber of song. That's ABBA, 'The Ultimate Pop Group'.
