It has planned a series of workshops on “Business Reporting from the Regions”. These workshops will also serve to strengthen linkages between the regional business community and the regional journalists.

The inaugural workshop is scheduled for May 19 in Kegalle. The main resource persons will be Dr. Mahim Mendis -- Head, Department of Social Studies and Senior Lecturer in Mass Communication, Open University, Nawala, Vasana Wickramasena -- Attorney- at- Law and Media Trainer, and Kapila Gamage – BPA’s Media and Communications Manager. Representatives from the business community in the respective regions will also participate at the workshops.
