LB Finance helps Sri Revatha Royal College in other fames

LB Finance, as part of its CSR initiative this year, has come forward to help Sri Revatha Royal College at Gangodawila, Nugegoda in the development of sports.

Focusing chiefly on uplifting the games volley ball and chess, the company recently donated all equipment needed, comprising balls, nets, chess boards, etc the school, a press release from the company said.

Instead of picking on mainstream games such as cricket and football which companies normally help, LB Finance decided to help less affluent school to progress in games like chess.

Ven. Kithalagama Hemasara, Principal of Sri Revatha Royal College, thanked the company and observed that the students were very keen and enthusiastic about learning both volley ball and chess.

"It's pleasing to see them being given the chance to explore new opportunity and I'm sure they'll do well," he said.

Sri Revatha Royal College has approximately 500 students, and last year too, it was the recipient of sports goods, provided by LB Finance in badminton.

"We are closely monitoring the progress made by the students, so that we may ensure that they make maximum use of the donations, as well as, to see how we can assist in developing the games furthermore," a company spokesman said.
