Special offers from Ceylinco Diabetes Centre to mark its 3rd anniversary

Free foot care packages, a chance to win 10 Glucometers and a public seminar on combating diabetes through knowledge have been planned by the Ceylinco Diabetes Centre to celebrate its third anniversary in May, the company said.

The Centre, the most advanced private facility in Sri Lanka for the prevention and management of diabetes, has announced that every visitor who obtains a diabetes package in May will be entitled to a free foot care package at its Podiatry Clinic, the statement added.

The free foot care package consists of an assessment by a medical expert of the visitor's history of diabetes, an examination of the feet fodeformities, an assessment of blood flow using a Doppler machine, and an inspection for ulcers, calluses, sore areas or skin diseases. The public seminar titled 'Learn, Act and Combat Diabetes', which takes place on May 19, seeks to educate and raise awareness about the disease which afflicts every one in seven Sri Lankans. A team of doctors and specialists will offer comprehensive insights into the complexity of the disease and how to cope with it.

Dietary advice will be given by an macclaimed chef who will conduct a cooking workshop, and demonstrate the preparation of wholesome meals that promote good health, the release said.
