Royal crush Wesley 35-12

Royal turned in an invigorating performance in the second half to crush Wesley 35-12 in the Inter-School rugby game at the Royal Complex yesterday. Wesley led 12-0 in the first half. Royal’s three-quarters handled the ball better in the second session to win by a goal, five tries and a penalty to Wesley’s goal and a try. Rameez Rafeek, Vinod Malwatte, skipper Manil Abeyratne, Udara de Silva and Masthika Bandaranayake scored the tries for Royal and the penalty was put over by Omar Hassan. For Wesley Azwan Aniff and Zalil Jayah scored the tries while Chanaka Pietersz converted the try. Referee: A.K. Rankothge.
