Of beef, beasts, wags and hags

By Col. Blimp, Panadura

By whatever name one calls it, flesh of animals including dogs and pigs is the food of the wild beasts and birds of prey.

Humans who live in the desolate and inhospitable lands of sand and snow, for very obvious reasons, trap and kill animals and fish for food, while the so-called civilized ones living in salubrious climes and blessed with nature’s bounty also slaughter dumb animals (mostly stolen from distant farmers by organized cattle thieves in Sri Lanka).

From the point of capture to the ultimate gruesome slaughter on the filthy floors of slaughter houses where they die agonizingly painful and slow deaths, the protesting and terrified animals are subjected to indescribably inhuman torture.

Yet some brain-drained hags try to preach to us the “virtues” of meat eating while meat eating wags piously proclaim that animals too have “rights”. Yes, they do have rights like the humans, which no one has a right to take away from or deny them.

As we all know, beasts and birds of prey leave the entrails and innards for the scavengers like vultures to clean up, after a feast on a beast, whereas those of the human species throw the offal, lock, stock and barrel, into waterways (like Bolgoda lake) to pollute and poison the precious water.
