Amidst a distinguished gathering of stars and well-wishers, the director Ms. Peries signed the agreement with new producer Dr. Namal Senasinghe. Based on a story written by Ms. Faheema Sahabdeen who is living abroad with her family, the film is to revolve around a child who is to play a vital role for the success of her direction.

Sri Lankan born Indian star Pooja Uma Shankar is to play a lead opposite politician and attorney Sujeewa Senasinghe. Young Sujeewa who also the brother of producer, Dr. Namal Senasinghe makes entry to cinema with Sumithra's latest venture.

"I am sure my brother would do better. He had been successful as a politician and attorney so will be as an actor," said Dr. Senasinghe.

Speaking about his connection with the film he said "Part of my name is Raj Kumar and it was given by my mother who was a great lover of cinema. So did I and one of my dreams was to do a film with late Vijaya Kumaratunga. Unfortunately I could not realise that,".

‘Anyway I feel privileged to join the film done by Ms Peries," Dr. Senasinghe said.
