Umpires deny Joes their fifth victory

It was near yet so far for St Joseph’s who were chasing a victory target of 163 in 38 overs being denied of their fifth outright win when the umpires stopped the game after they had reached 160 for 4 in just 20.2 overs and three runs needed for victory against Mahinda in their Under 20 Elephant Lemonade inter-school cricket match concluded at Darley Road yesterday.

The Under 20 Elephant Lemonade inter-school cricket encounter between St Sebastian’s and Nalanda concluded at Moratuwa yesterday ended in a draw with the match being called off due bad light.

The Under 20 Elephant Lemonade cricket match between DSS and Kalutara MV concluded at Wijerama Mawatha yesterday too ended in a draw.

Another double by Sachith

A very good all round performance by Sachith Pathirana was the highlight of the rain interrupted drawn match between Trinity and St. Peter’s at Asgiriya.
