DSS draw with Kingswood

Time was not on D.S. Senanayake College as they failed to go through the Kingswood batting a second time in their drawn match at Peradeniya.

Skipper Asiri Amarasinghe was the one batsman who contributed in both Kingswood innings. The rest seemed to be mesmerized by the left arm spin of Roshan Laksiri who had a match bag of 10 for 65.

DS’s batting was dominated by the fourth wicket pair of Dimuthu Samarakkody 87 (with 3 sixes and 4 fours) nad M. Perera 64 (7 fours).

The bowling honours for Kingswood were claimed by Ranpath Jayawansa and Chalitha Dharmaprema who had four wickets apiece.

Kingswood – 139 in 57 overs (A. Amarasinghe 36, M. Bandaranaike 14, P. Senaratne 20, R. Jayawansa 16; R. Laksiri 6 for 31, M. Marasinghe 2 for 17) and 139 for 8 in 69 overs (A. Amarasinghe 33, N. Jayasuriya 31, M. Bandaranaike 26; R. Laksiri 4 for 34, N. Kavikara 3 for 39).
