ONSC to felicitate Mahela and Kumar

It’s another first by an old Nalandian cricketer. This time by Mahela Jayawardene the dynamic batsman who became the third captain to lead Sri Lanka at test cricket. First test captain Bandula Warnapura. Followed by Roshan Mahanama, the world class fielde.

Roshan (225) was involved in world record stand of 575 with Sanath Jayasuriya 340. Mahela (374) with amiable Kumar Sangakkara (287) was involved in a 624 world record stand for any wicket against South Africa played here recently.

A glittering felicitation will be held in Sept. 29 at the Trans Asia Hotel in their honour. Over 300 guests from all walks of life will grace the occasion.
