Rocket dumped on beach

Sri Lanka’s ‘pocket rocket’
Lasith Malinga has given the home team their first injury
scare prior to their Champions Trophy quest in India
next month.
According to the Lankan physio Tommy Simsec Malinga
has tweaked his right ankle and knee and pulled a ligament
when he stepped into a hole in the beach on Wednesday
while with his friends in Galle.
 However
the Lankan physio is confident that the fast bowler
will be fit for action before the Lankan team leaves
for India on October 1.
Prior to the ICC trophy Sri Lanka
will play a series of qualifying matches against Bangladesh,
Zimbabwe and the defending champions – the West
Indies beginning on October 7.
