Commercial Bank introduces holiday banking in Galle

The Commercial Bank of Ceylon has introduced holiday banking in Galle, following its introduction to eastern Ampara and now becomes the only provider of holiday banking services in the this southern region.

The Bank's Galle City branch will now be kept open every day including all public and mercantile holidays from 9.00 am to 1.30 pm. This will be Commercial Bank's 17th holiday banking centre. The Bank offers holiday banking through 13 'MiniCom' Centres and 'Arpico Service Points' as well as at its branches at Dharmapala Mawatha, Colombo 7, Negombo and Ampara. Mainly intended to serve personal customers, holiday banking enables them to make deposits and withdrawals to and from any account, encash cheques, obtain account information and make credit card settlements or engage in any other type of banking activity.

Customers of other branches of Commercial Bank can also encash cheques and withdraw funds from their savings accounts up to Rs 100,000, the statement said.
