‘Tikiri and Ungi’ on Swarnavahini

Teledrama 'Tikiri and Ungi' is now being telecast on Swarnavahini every Friday at 7 pm.

If adults could view the children's world with their own eyes, it will definitely be a beautiful experience.

Today there some grown ups who feel uncomfortable when children come out with their new findings, new experiences or visions. This is well depicted in the latest tele drama produced by Sandhya Mendis on behalf of Susila productions.
This teledrama was filmed in the Anuradhapura area and the child artistes were also selected from the same area.

The story scripted by Vajira Kasthuri revolves around a remote school that is about to be closed down, a bunch of little children who do not feel the competiions and a group of adults with different opinions.

Henry Jayasena, Damayanthi Fonseka, Ajith Lokuge, Indrajith Nawinna, Ratna Sumanapala, Wijeratne Warakagoda, Lal Kularatne, Priyanka Samaraweera, Gunadasa Madurasinghe, Mahinda Pathirage, Saman Hemaratne, Nimal Jayasinghe and others play the lead roles in Tikri and Ungi together with a host of child artistes including Ravindu Thathsarana and Thisari Wathsala.
