Parent detained for taking snaps A Royal College student’s father was taken into custody last week near the college premises by the Cinnamon Gardens Police on suspicion of having links with the LTTE. When the Police had gone to the vicinity on information received, the suspect was allegedly taking photographs of the area with his camera phone. The police acted promptly, considering the recent rumour of LTTE plans to attack public places or schools. Upon questioning, the suspect had stated that he was a leading member of the Sri Lanka Telugu Congress. Cinnamon Gardens OIC Sagara Kirthipala said the suspect was released after questioning. |
