‘Another
Day’ for Magic Boys

Magic Box Mix-up, the new kids on the block, will
be launching their maiden album 'Another Day' on Saturday, July
15 at the H2O.
Magic Box Mix-up will come alive with their new
songs at 7.30pm at the launching ceremony.
The album 'Another Day' comprises of 11 original
songs and all songs have written and sung by Shaun Perera, the leader
and the lead singer of the band. Shaun is the eldest son of ex Gypsies
Neville Perera.
'Magic Box', 'Sad Eyes', 'Hello', 'Fallen', 'Pretty
Face', 'Beautiful Girl', 'Mary Jane', 'Fly away Butterfly', 'She',
'Another Day' and 'Amma' are the tracks of the album.
Music arrangements were created by Kushal, Viretha,
Dexter and Dilip Gabadamudalige.
'Magic Box Mix-up' comprises of five talented
musicians, who are still the school boys. Shaun together with Virantha
Mendis (Guitar), Kushal Abeywickrema (lead guitar), Naveen Karunaratne
Juriansz (Drums) and Dexter Jurabz (bass) create editing sounds
of rock that will soon hit the skies in Sri Lanka.
‘'Another day' is an album of originals
created by us. We are all students and the great fans of rock music.
That's why we thought of getting together as a band and to do something.
This project is not a commercial venture but purely for our satisfaction’
Shaun said.
'Magic Box Mixup' is under the professional guidance
of veteran Dilup Gabadabudalige and he is the force behind the line
up.
'Magic Box Mixup' will perform at H2O on Saturday
for a group of invitees which includes musicians, singers, top names
in the showbiz scene, friends and family member of the band boys.
