vie for Asian finals

AThe Mercedes trophy Sri Lanka country finals is much look forward
to an event in the local golf calendar giving that much needed exposure
to the local golfers to compete against the world’s best in
Stuttgart, Germany is to get underway.
The top two from the three courses from the Sri Lanka Country finals
will qualify to play in the Asian finals in Gold Coast, Queensland,
Australia. The winners Down Under will qualify for the world finals.
Versatile sportsman Capt. Navin de Silva had the Sri Lankan flag
fluttering when he gave an excellent performance, in the Asian finals
in 2003 to book a berth for the prestigious world finals. He did
proud for the country in the fairways away from home. Diesel and
Motor Engineering Co. Ltd., for the 15th successive year is the
proud sponsor of this international event
