The Hameed Al-Hussienie College Colombo and Maris Stella College Negombo will clash in the finals of the President’s Cup Inter-School Invitation Football Tournament on Sunday (22) at the Racecourse ground at 3.30pm with President Maithripala Sirisena as the Chief Guest.
The tournament has been organised by the Group of 80s Hameed Al Hussienie College to celebrate 128 years of the college. Twenty leading schools took part in the tournament.
In the semi-finals Maris Stella beat De Mazenod 4-2, Hameed Al Hussienie beat Zahira Puttalam 6-0. Thus Maris Stella and Hameed Al Hussienie qualified to clash in the finals.
