Western Province won the swimming championship the 41st National Sports Festival with an overall tally of 47 points.
The three-day meet was held at the Sugathadasa Swimming Complex in Colombo.
Central Province emerged runners-up with 35 points ahead of Southern Province, who finished at third with eight points, North Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces.
Overall swimmers from the victorious Western Province won 19 gold medals, 18 silver medals and 10 bronze medals.
Swimmers from Central Province won 14 gold medals, nine silver medals and 12 bronze medals.
