A group of 41 athletes, 22 girls and 19 boys, will leave for Malaysia on Thursday (10) to take part in the 2nd Kuala Lumpur Open Mayor’s Cup Championship representing Sri Lanka.
The Sri Lanka School's Karate team will be accompanied by five officials for the tournament which will be held this weekend (December 11 and 12).
Kasun Jayawardene will captain the Boys team while Piumi Harshani has been appointed as the captain of the Girls’ team.

Boys: Kasun Sampath Jayawardene (Captain), Numan Akasha, Tharaka Lakshan Madushanka, Asheen Idusara, Hashen Kaushalya, Anushka Umayantha, Chanaka De Silva, Sangeeth Maduwantha, Yoosuf Mahees, Eranga Rupasinghe, Ramitha Madushan Pethum, Gayan Bandara Dissanayake, Sithija Anantha, Lakshan Gunasekara, Nirash Sudharsana, Nisal Srimal.
Girls: Piumi Harshani (Captain), Hirudini Dasanayake, Kavidi Nethmini, Surangi, Rathnayake, Sachintha Sewmini, Maheesha Nethmini, Emashi Yashodara Palagasinghe, Lewannaya Pamali and Vihangi Warsha.
