Chairman of Perpetual Treasuries Ltd Geoffrey Aloysius has been arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) in connection with the Bond Scam a short while ago.
He is the father of Arjun Aloysius - one of the chief suspects in the Central Bank bond scam case.
Previously, Mr. Aloysious had filed a request to travel to Singapore and India since his passport was impounded.
However, court permitted travel only to India from May 13 to 20.
