Shangri-la Group CEO Lim Beng Chee said they are in for a long term commitment that would go beyond the opening aimed at boosting the economy and play a part in Sri Lanka's progress.
The mall has some of the globally renowned brands on offer including the PVR run cinema and a Michelin star restaurant, he said.
Economic Reforms Minister Dr. Harsha de Silva said they were committed to eliminating para tarriffs and increase consumption and attracting more investors.
