Ms Noor Rizna Anees has been appointed as the Director General of the Department of Development Finance at the Treasury following the recommendation of the Minister of Finance and Mass Media Mr. Mangala Samaraweera, a statement from the Ministry said.
Prior to her appointment she served as an Additional Director General of the External Resource Dept. Previously she has also served in the Development Finance department as its Director and a Deputy Director from 2005 to 2011
The department of Development Finance of the Treasury is in-charge for promoting growth and social development under various financial loan schemes and subsidies and welfare programmes. In this regard various loan schemes identified as Enterprise Sri Lanka and other welfare and subsidy programs such as fertilizer cash subsidy and senior citizens special interest rates programme are being supervised by the dept of Development Finance.
