An inmate at the Wariyapola prison was injured during a shooting that occurred at the prison today (Dec 20).
According to reports an inmate had been shot by another.
The injured inmate was admitted to the Wariyapola hospital for treatments. The Wariyapola Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
The government today granted permission for an Iranian warship with 208 on board to enter the country.
