Teachers throughout the country returned to school from yesterday (29) as part of the first phase of reopening schools that were shut for more than three months due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Schools throughout the country were closed down from March 13 and given extended holidays due to the outbreak.
With the government notifying teachers and non-academic staff to report to work from June 29 in preparation to open schools for students, schools throughout the country, there was heightened activity at schools from last morning.
Teachers started off by marking their attendance after coming back to school. Principals then held meetings with the staff to brief them on what needs to be done to ensure a safe environment for students and staff alike once schools fully reopen.
