The Galle District office of the Department of Registration of Persons will be declared open at the Galle Four Gravets Divisional Secretariat today (Sept 6).
Accordingly, residents in the vicinity would be able to obtain their National Identity Card (NIC)’s through the One Day and ordinary services, Department Commissioner General Viyani Gunathilake said.
Meanwhile, the new Baddegama Divisional Secretariat, built at a cost of Rs 87.4 million will also be declared open today.
According to the Internal and Home Affairs Ministry, the new state-of-the-art facility would comprise a 300-seater auditorium along with parking facilities.
